Free admission to Boston Children's Museum on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 as part of 'August Adventures' courtesy of the Highland Street Foundation.

Preregistration is required. Limit four (4) tickets per transaction.

August Adventures, modeled after Highland Street’s long-standing Free Fun Fridays program, offers opportunities throughout the state, from Greater Boston to Cape Cod, and out to Central and Western Massachusetts. Similar to Boston Children's Museum, some venues have capacity limitations and require advance registration. Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be available Tuesday July 6 at 10am

Boston Children’s Museum operates with a time slot system to safely monitor the number of visitors who are inside the Museum at any given time. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

When selecting your tickets, you will be asked to select the time slot of your visit. The entirety of your visit must take place within the time slot.

Until further notice, Boston Children's Museum will continue to require masks that cover both the nose and mouth for all visitors ages 2 and over regardless of vaccination status. Masks will be required for both inside and outside while on Museum property.

NEW - PlaySpace Exhibit Reservations.
Online reservations are required to visit PlaySpace. Please see details below.

To prevent overcrowding,PlaySpace, the Museum’s dedicated exhibit for children ages birth to 3 and their caregivers, is open for 1-hour playtimes by online reservation only. Visitors will not be admitted to PlaySpace without a reservation.

To Reserve:
  • Museum admission is required, pre-registration for PlaySpace is free for children ages birth to 3 with their caregivers.
  • Pre-registration is required for each group member—infants count too!
  • Older children (ages 4+) are not currently allowed in the space. Please come with additional adults so they can play with older children in other exhibits.
  • Caregivers are required to be in PlaySpace with children ages birth to 3. Please limit the number of adults in your group so that more families will have the opportunity to play.
  • Food and drink are not currently allowed in PlaySpace. Please use the 1st floor lunchroom for snacks and lunches. Nursing and bottle feeding are allowed throughout the Museum.
